As of now, I have been in the Internet Marketing Industry overall for seven months and have built a solid customer base in my Small Internet Business, Megapixel Productions for the past five months. You might be thinking to yourself, “How did you do that so quick?” The truth is I haven’t. Most people who are involved in Network Marketing and Internet Marketing do have their full time or part time jobs aside from building their business. This does entail more time to be put in before seeing any success, but it does not make anyone greater or lesser. In my case, I have literally been marketing online full time (sometimes over time) the entire seven months through. Did I get into this industry full time, because I had the extra money to sit on for a while? Heck no! I came into this Industry with the little money I had to invest in the very first opportunity I had come across, hoping I would become successful over night. I thought it to be so simple, because that is how I had perceived it; silly me.
Within the first week of marketing and in my very first business opportunity, I had someone sign up with me. I thought, “This is great! I can start making my millions in no time! I just saw my ROI.” After that very first week, I had to buckle down and get serious about what I was doing if I was going to make it. During that whole month, it’s been sleepless nights, pitching, pitching, pushing, and tearing down the walls of my YouTube channel to hang my credentials up showing the world the experience I had prior to internet marketing. I thought I was such a leader then. What I didn’t realize at that time is I was still a follower, because I was still learning. I thought I could take the 14 B2B accounts I acquired as a Marketing Manager for an Inter Modal Freight Forwarding Company and turn that experience into gold. Little did I know, I stepped into a ball field that was much larger than a 250 mile radius of New York City. I had to buckle down and start studying and applying everything I was learning day in and day out. Not to mention the countless pots of coffee consumed in that time.
After two months into marketing, I had already learned how to edit and produce authentic video content, I understood the basics of SEO, I signed myself into numerous social media networks, and I just kept going like the energizer bunny on supersonic. Without the help of the other team members and of observing how the top earners are doing it, I would not have been inspired to keep going. That, in turn, still kept me a follower, but I allowed myself to become educated and took the time to implement everything that came my way. At this point, I realized in order to become a leader, you must first follow one. I know this has been said so many times and in so many ways by others (if you have heard it), but it is still very true to this day. For a while, I kept my doors closed (in a sense) by only listening to my Network’s suggestions about other opportunities to diversify my portfolio with. I only said “listened to” though. I knew in my heart and in my mind’s eye, that in order to truly succeed, yes I had to be open and learn, but I also had to be authentic with myself and do what would make me happy. Now, I’m not talking about the instant, slap stick, silly kind of happy. I had to find what my centre needed. That is very important to be, because I still desire to build everything on the foundation of who I am and not what others can mold me into.
I always knew what I can do best, but I never would stay comfortable. I’m still marketing on the WWW, but I have now created a diversity of interests that would blow a “career” mind away. Like I said, I have my own Small Internet Business, Megapixel Productions. The plethora attached to that? Hmm, my passions and nothing but. In revenue sharing social networks that reward video producers and authors, I have branched my love out to Freestyle Vlogging, Citizen Journalism, DIY Article Writing, and even Photography. I may be the jack of all and master of few at this point, but I do what I love and that is what sets anyone free, when you put your mind to it.
